Second-hand bookshop at Tredegar House
A bookworm’s dream, our second-hand bookshop holds a treasure trove of literary gems to enjoy while supporting the conservation of Tredegar House.
A cosy nook hidden in the corner of the home farm, our second-hand bookshop holds everything from children’s stories to classic novels. Lose yourself in fantasy worlds, or learn something new with one of the many bargains waiting on our shelves.
All books are priced between £1 - £3, and the best part is that your donation will stay at Tredegar House, helping us to care for this special place for generations to come.
The second-hand bookshop will be open on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11am - 3pm. As it is run by a dedicated team of volunteers, opening days may vary, and it might be open on other days of the week.
We can only accept donations to the bookshop on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Saturdays between 11am - 3pm. Please take donations directly to the bookshop, as visitor reception are not able to take book donations at this time.
Thank you for supporting our second-hand bookshop.
The safety of our staff, volunteers and visitors is our priority. You will need to wear a face covering when indoors. There is hand sanitiser available in the bookshop, please use this if you're browsing books. We are only able to take card payments, or exact cash donations at the moment. Please be aware that numbers are limited inside the bookshop so you might need to wait outside.
Thank you for helping us keep everyone safe by following Welsh Government Regulations during your visit.
