Christmas is always special at Montacute House. This year to get you in the festive mood, the house and grounds will be decorated with natural garlands and flowers grown in our garden. For family fun join in the search specially designed reindeer hidden around the property.

Christmas reindeer round-up

Hidden around the house and garden discover nine specially designed reindeer – you’ll spot each unique, larger-than-life character as you’ve never seen them before. Have a boogie with Dancer and fall in love with Cupid. Running daily from 25 November to 1 January (excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day).

The ground floor of the house will look beautifully festive. You'll find trees twinkling with lights, tables ready for glorious Christmas feasts, and the cutest mini reindeer trail to keep both children and adults engaged.

Food and drink

Stop by the Courtyard cafe for a selection of festive light bites, sweet treats and hot and cold drinks.

Barrington Court artisan workshops, shop and Beagles cafe

Barrington is a short drive from Montacute House and offers a wonderful array of unique locally made gifts and presents. Beagles is our dog friendly cafe offering an opportunity to revive, have a catch up with friends and enjoy a festive tasty treat. There is a grab and go takeaway service for those on the go.
