Celebrate Christmas traditions at East Riddlesden Hall

Visitor looking at Christmas tree decorations

Christmas is just around the corner, and we're getting excited about the magic that this time of year brings.

Christmas tree sales

Saturdays and Sundays 1 - 2 December, and 8 - 9 December, 9am-3.30pm (whilst stocks last)

There’s that excitement when you find just the right tree, and family fun and laughter to be had getting it home and decorating it together. Whether you prefer to dress your tree traditionally or fill it with handmade decorations from years gone-by, your home will be filled with the fresh scent of Christmas until the New Year arrives.

4ft-9ft Fraser and Nordmann Firs will be on sale whilst stocks last. Prices from £30.

Indoor Christmas market

Saturday and Sunday 8 - 9 December, 11am-5pm

Step into the warm, rustic Airedale Barn and be surrounded by fairy lights that trace the lines of the majestic oak beams. There’ll be lots of local stalls selling everything from scented gifts, handmade crafts, jewellery, local gins and lots more.

Be tempted by the home-baked goodies, and enjoy a taste of Christmas with a heart-warming glass of mulled wine. Elsewhere, tie your wish to the giant Christmas tree in the Great Hall and crunch your way through the frosty grounds as you follow the garden trail. The Great Barn will be dressed with fresh holly and ivy and filled with seasonal music. Find a straw bale and blanket, and enjoy a peaceful moment as you sit back and soak up the atmosphere.

Entry £3 per person, family tickets £10 (2 adults, 3 children). Free entry for National Trust members.

This is a popular event, and parking is limited - please park off-site or arrive by foot if possible. Access only to the Great Hall inside the house.

Wreath making workshops

Saturday 15 December, 10.30am-1pm and Sunday 16 December, 10.30am-1pm, 1.30-4pm

Come along to one of our workshops and make your own wreath to take home. We'll be using natural materials collected from the garden to make these traditional decorations. Tickets are limited and cost £20. Tea/coffee and a slice of cake are included. Please book your tickets online here.
