A piece of history
The Grade II-listed Belvedere Tower was builtover 250 years ago by Sir John Vanbrugh for the Duke of Newcastle, who was then Prime Minister. Its castellar design was a symbol of the Duke's wealth and power for all to see.

Planning your visit
When the original 150-acre estate was divided in ownership, the Belvedere Tower passed into the possession of Claremont Fan Court School. They kindly allow us to open the tower for you to visit; open hours are normally in the first full weekend of every month between April and October, as well as on Heritage Open Day and New Year's Day.
