Autumn adventures for families at Hatchlands Park

Bring the whole family to enjoy the changing seasons at Hatchlands Park. Kick through leaf-lined paths on a woodland walk or head to our natural adventure area as the seasonal colours start to turn. We’ve got lots of excellent activities for the whole family so join us soon for an autumnal outdoor adventure.

October half-term trail 

Saturday 26 October - Sunday 3 November, 10am-4pm

Pick up a sheet from reception to discover forgotten folklore and seasonal superstions on a trail through the parkland and claim your pumpkin prize at the end.

£3 per trail

Wizard Wix's Willow Warren 

Our natural adventure area for children was fully refurbished in 2018. You can still get to grips with hand-crafted willow tunnels, domes, balance beams and sculptures and a totem pole, but we added a brilliant new bug burrow for you to enjoy. There are even picnic benches for tired parents to take a break.

50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ at Hatchlands Park 

Get your kids closer to nature with ‘50 things to do before you’re 11¾’. There are 50 ultimate activities for you to enjoy and, at Hatchlands, you can enjoy lots of them. Build a den in the woodland, fly your kite on a windy day or find a huge hollow tree to explore; the whole park is your playground.

Dress like a Georgian 

At Hatchlands we’ve taken the dressing up box a step further. Whenever our house is open, you can find specially designed, hand-made Georgian costumes for children to enjoy. Choose a role as the Gentleman, Lady, the Footman or Maid and get in touch with the fashions from the period our house was built.
