Celebrate the first signs of spring this half-term
Discover the first signs of spring this half-term. Explore the Woodland Walk and play area on a nature hunt, listen out for the sounds of the season, create your own poem inspired by the season and see how many early spring flowers you can spot.
Whatever the weather there is lots to do this half term at Kingston Lacy including…
Spring themed crafty fun
16 - 24 February, 10am - 3pm
Head to the craft station in the laundry and have a go at creating your own pinwheel from paper. Why not take your completed pinwheel outside and watch the wind make it spin. This activity is a drop in session so there is no need to book.
Family nature trail
16 - 24 February, 10am - 4pm
If you like to venture off the beaten track then our family nature trail could be for you. Explore the depths of the Kingston Lacy parkland on the Woodland Walk. There will be plenty of opportunities for the whole family to relax and discover nature with our Nature Bingo activity sheet and different activity stops along the trail. Don’t forget to pack a picnic as there are plenty of places to stop to recharge whilst taking in some stunning views of the house and parkland.
The Woodland Walk which is 1.5 miles (30 minutes – 1 hour) and accessible by foot, bike, buggy and adapted wheelchair. If you fancy venturing further afield then you can take a longer route: the Woodland Trail which is 3 miles long (1.5 – 2 hours).
The trail is dog friendly but we do ask you to keep your four legged friend on a short lead at all times.
