Shapwick is a great place to catch your breath, with idyllic views and a great pub in which to relax. The area is closely associated with Roman history.

Walk to the centre of village and the cross.

Turn left onto West Street, passing Bishops Court Farmhouse.

Follow the road with care, there's a blind bend ahead.

After the S bend, turn right up the track into Ram Lane. The track should link in with the northern part of the village.

Turn right to return to the village centre and car park.

From Wimborne follow B3082 for around 3 miles (4.8km). Turn left toward Mill Lane. Turn right onto Mill Lane and continue onto Steward’s Lane, then right onto the High Street.
