Grab something delicious in the Tea Room

The Tea Room at Mount Stewart

All of the food we sell is made on-site by our Cook and Baker from the best local and seasonal produce. We use the National Trust Cookbook as well as local recipes to create an enticing menu for our visitors.

We have a range of hot food available including signature home-made sausage rolls, soups, stews, baked potatoes and daily specials.
Our soups are always made without gluten and we have bread, cheese scones and brownies all made without gluten for those who are following a gluten-free diet. Allergen information is available for all our produce.
For morning coffee or afternoon tea we have cream teas with home-made scones, local jam and clotted cream as well as a delicious range of home-made cakes, tray-bakes and desserts. Our new coffee machine serves the National Trust’s bespoke espresso blend and we offer the full range of speciality coffees. We are also licensed and have wine, local beer and local cider available.
As the Tea Room falls outside the tariff area for Mount Stewart, visitors can drop in for something to eat during the day without paying for a visit to the property.
Outside in our courtyard we have a snack kiosk which provides delicious, local Glastry Farm ice-cream, Dale Farm Ice-lollies as well as speciality coffees and cold drinks. Perfect for a quick refreshment break when out exploring the property!
