Make a Difference at Sutton Hoo

The impressive sculpture of the helmet at Sutton Hoo

We need your help to shape the future of Sutton Hoo. Have your say, get involved and make a difference.

Sutton Hoo is England's most important archaeological site- the burial ground of an Anglo Saxon royal dynasty.

Sutton Hoo has been open to the public under the care of the National Trust for almost fourteen years, and the time has come to review and redevelop the experience on site.

Our aim is to create an exceptional visitor experience that is equal to the unparalleled significance of this magical site, that draws together all the aspects of the site to tell our extraordinary story and connects people emotionally to the landscape and the people to whom it was significant.

How can you get involved?

We will be recruiting a number of brand new staff and volunteer roles to support the project, and will post more details soon.
