Christmas at Standen
Arts and Crafts style rooms are dressed with softly lit Christmas trees and decorations inspired by the Beale family's wishes for Christmas. During 'Twilight Lates' weekends in December, see the house atmospherically lit for Christmas.
Christmas at Standen: All I want for Christmas
Sat 22 Nov 2025 – Sun 4th Jan 2026 : 11am – 3.30pm
Make your festive visit to this imaginatively decorated Arts and Crafts home which will be atmospherically lit and filled with twinkling lights and Christmas trees. Be inspired by the centrepiece Christmas tree in the Hall, festooned and sumptuously decorated, ready for a family Christmas. Have a go at our family 'Jolly Holly' trail, with a prize at the end (£4.75). Wonder at the centrepiece Courtyard Christmas tree, decorated this year by local schools, staff and volunteers. We're open for Twilight evening visits too (please check dates) where you'll hear local choirs sing around the Christmas tree.
The Jolly Holly Family Trail

Join us for a family trail around the garden with fun and games all inspired by the Beale families Christmas wish list. Collect your gift at the end (one gift per trail sheet) £4.75 and normal admission applies.
Twilights at Standen
Sat 6 & Sun 7 Dec, Sat 13 & Sun 14 Dec, Sat 20 & Sun 21 Dec: 3.30pm–6pm.
Listen to local choirs as they sing around the Christmas tree. Wander inside the house magically lit for the evening and experience its atmosphere as night falls. Choirs start singing at 3.30pm.
Last entry to house is 5pm. Last order in the cafe is 5.45.
Christmas Selling Exhibition
Sat 22 Nov – Tues 23 Dec: 11am–3.30pm
Look no further if you’re after that elusive present for a special someone. The Sussex Guild will be at Standen every day for some inspired Christmas shopping.
Festive Food at Standen
Daily: 10am–4pm
Enjoy festive food and warming treats in the Barn Café. Dogs are welcome too in the Engine Room adjacent to the café.

Wagging Walkies
Thurs 26 Dec - Sun 4 Jan: 10pm - 4pm
Dress up your pooch in a bow tie, winter coat or cute hat and visit us for a wagging walk. Dog treat with admission.
