Best visited at low tide, when there is plenty of beach, and rocks to climb and explore. If you're lucky, you might spot seals fishing close to the shore. It's a great place to bring a picnic or take a short hike inland and enjoy a sandwich and coffee at the cafe at Soar Mill Cove Hotel.
Head east from the car park and the cove is about a mile away. The route is steep in places, but you'll be rewarded with great sea views. The area is a haven for wildlife - look amongst the gorse and scrub and you may find birds like cirl buntings, stone chats and Dartford warblers.
