Observations and Recollections by Paul Finn
Paul Finn has spent this last year drawing and painting in Dedham Vale and Constable Country. We are delighted to show the results of this project in the Boat House Gallery just off the National Trust Tea rooms.
Not a ‘plein-air’ painter as such Paul Finn builds up paintings from drawings and memories of his experience in the landscape. 'My work tries to evoke my joy, feelings and sensations towards this special place. My paintings attempt to find the atmosphere, structure, shape, colour and pattern of the place’
Paul Finn studied Fine Art at Ravensbourne College of Art and then at the Slade. He now exhibits in galleries around the country including the Rowley Gallery in London and has recently been invited to join the Arborealist group and is exhibiting with them in Poitiers, France.
