Every September, WoodFest brings the heart of Hatfield Forest to life. This popular festival is a 'must do' on many calendars so, if this is your first time, you'll be in for a treat!

What's happening at WoodFest 2018?

We thank everyone for their support in 2017 and look forward to welcoming you all back for  WoodFest 2018, being held on Fri 7 Sep to Sun 9 Sep.

The music programme starts on Friday at 19.00, until 23.00, continues on Saturday from 12.00 until late, and then on Sunday from 12.00 to 17.00.  The stalls will be open from 10.00 on Saturday and Sunday.

As always there will be plenty to entertain you in the Lake area over the weekend.

Live music

Local acts from all over come to play on the 'main stage' and take part in the 'open mic' stage. There's everything from folk and 90's covers to rock, brass and metal. We'll be announcing some of the bands on our Facebook page as the WoodFest weekend approaches.

Arts and Crafts

The lake area bustles with a large variety of stalls to indulge your inner shopper. Whatever your fancy you'll find something to buy for your home or a loved one. Traditional crafts sit alongside contemporary, original gifts. So, if you want to see how a wooden bowl is turned, or buy a sculpture for your garden, then this is your opportunity.

Food and drink

As well as our popular Forest Cafe menu and our new food truck Hank, there'll be some other delicious food stalls to keep hunger at bay whilst you're dancing the hours away...

Timber Sale

New for 2018 - we will have a timber sale in the estate office yard.  There will be a saw mill on site, so you can have timber cut-to-size.  We will also be selling pre-cut forest timber, as well a range of items including bread boards, cutting boards, candle holders and mobile phone stands.  The timber is from a range of hard woods including oak, hornbeam, ash, field maple and sweet chestnut, all grown in the forest.

The sale will be on Saturday 8 Sep, from 09:00 to 13:00 for trade buyers, and then for everyone, from 13:00, Saturday, as well all day Sunday.

Caravaning and Camping

Complete your festival experience by booking your caravan/camper or camping pitches, on-line or by phone, through the National Trust booking office. Booking opens in March 2018.

Pitches will be available from 16.00 on Fri 7 Sep.
