Escape from the hustle and bustle at this remote cottage, hidden in the Eskdale Valley in the Lake District. We’d be better to list the facilities that aren’t included here – with no TV, wifi, or phone signal and limited electricity, this dolls-house-like cottage gives visitors little choice but to enjoy the glory of surrounding nature. Walk to Scafell Pike from your doorstep and enjoy a warming fire on your return. Sleeps 4.

Completely electricity free, this secluded cottage is powered by gas and solar technology and features original Edwardian fireplaces throughout.
