May half term around Berks

The weather is warm, the sun is... well, up there somewhere, and the troops are getting restless. May half term is the time to turf them out into gardens and parkland of our lovely National Trust places and let them run free. There are plenty of places to play in and around Berkshire.

We’ve got lots of new adventures for you at Cliveden this May half-term. Explore the May half-term 'brilliant birds' trail, get lost in the giant maze or simply bring a picnic to enjoy in the outdoors and soak up the fun.

Basildon Park 

With 400 acres of parkland to explore, early summer blooms appearing throughout the gardens, and the Great Ball Run launching again, there's plenty for everyone to do at Basildon Park this May half-term.

From 50 things activities, to hunting for fairy doors or engaging in natural play on the estate walk, there's lots to keep children entertained in nature this May half-term at Greys Court.

Curious visitors can venture up onto our rooftop walkway. Make your mark by writing on a handmade tile destined for the roof for a suggested donation of £5. On selected dates, you can chat with conservation experts and learn about hi-tech equipment used to study centuries-old roof materials. For family adventurers there’s tree climbing too plus new Tudor trails and geocaching.
