Boating at Cliveden opens for the season

Boating at Cliveden has opened for the 2026 season. Cliveden has a long association with boating on the River Thames. Pleasure boating was an established pastime in the early 20th century. It was so popular that queues for the lock formed along this stretch of the river in Ascot week. Lady Astor used to take her illustrious weekend guests on picnic trips and now you can hire a boat to experience this relaxing pastime for yourself.
