Sutton Hoo is all about unearthed treasure, so whether you are looking for a sweet treat, a celebratory gift or your own special keepsake, we’ve taken great care to ensure that our shop contains the perfect find for everyone.
Set in a bright, spacious building close to reception, our revamped shop is found overlooking the welcome courtyard, home to our stunning new life size ship sculpture.
A gift for all seasons
You’ll find a rich selection of your favourite goodies from the National Trust, including toys, books, scarves, jewellery, rugs, rucksacks and baseball caps. Return throughout the year to be greeted with new designs and special seasonal selections.
A taste of local life
Throughout your visit we aim to bring you a flavour of what life was like here through the ages. For a taste of modern day local life, why not choose from our delicious range of produce created by carefully selected local producers, including preserves and chutneys, beer and chocolate?
You can even buy honey made from bees that live in hives here at Sutton Hoo - you can’t get much more local than that!
Treasure that tells a story
We’re partnering with local artisans who are bringing Sutton Hoo’s heritage and landscape to life through a bespoke range of crafts created especially for us. Inspired by the exquisite Anglo -Saxon treasures found in the Royal Burial Ground and the natural landscape that surrounds it, you can find your own treasure infused with the tale of this incredible place.
As well as ceramics from Leon and Jenny, Carol’s silver jewellery, and bespoke artwork from celebrated local artist, Cindy Spear, we’re introducing new product lines throughout the year from other local crafts people.
And what better way to take the story of Sutton Hoo away with you than selecting from our brand new range of books exploring Anglo Saxon life and related history?
Had a great time? Pick up a memento of your visit from our range of Sutton Hoo souvenirs, including mugs, tea towels, bags and lots of tasty treats.
