Whether you enjoy the best in Welsh and British produce, or have a passion for homemade cakes, there’s something for all tastes at Chirk Castle. With a variety of items to browse in the shop and a second-hand bookshop, it’s just the place for book lovers to spend some quality time.
Situated in the West Wing, with overflow seating in the Distil Tower (Northwest Tower) and outdoors in the Courtyard, the tea-room occupies a space that has once housed a Tudor range and served the State Dining Room in the main castle. Today you can enjoy a variety of hot and cold dishes from our seasonal menu.
We buy local and Fairtrade products wherever possible, and all our cakes and treats are baked daily by our own baker. With savoury snacks, tasty cakes, cream teas and local ice cream, there's something for everyone, and always something new to try.
Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.
If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.
Visited before? We sometimes change our recipes to improve quality and flavour, including the ingredients. When you visit, please speak to one of our team to check the current allergen information for your favourite dish.
