Eating at Belton
Whether you’re looking for a relaxing lunch with friends, a sweet treat with family, or a rewarding breakfast after a long walk, there’s always something to tempt you at Belton.
Open daily, 10.00am - 4.30 pm.
Belton’s refurbished Stables Café will offer you an entirely different dining experience within this beautiful historic setting. The café is open daily, serving regularly changing menus, which promise to reflect the seasons.
After a long stroll in the fresh air with your four-legged friend, it’s nice to sit back and put your feet (or paws) up.
Dogs are welcome within the indoor seating of the Stables Café, with the exception of the seating directly behind the main servery. It’s not only a space to escape any sudden showers but also offers a tasty menu for canine visitors.
On warmer days, the stable yard also offers extra outdoor seating so you can sit out and enjoy the sunshine.
The Joinery ice cream parlour
Open Wednesday - Friday 12.30 - 3.30pm. Open Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4.30pm.
Available from Belton’s historic carpenter’s workshop, our ice cream is made by the Brown Family in the Derbyshire hills, where they’ve been milking cows since 1953. With over 20 flavours to choose from, which flavour would you pick?
Muddy Hands Kiosk
Open weekends 10.30am - 4pm.
Located in Belton’s outdoor adventure playground, Muddy Hands is open on weekends and school holidays. Choose from a selection of snacks, ice creams and hot and cold drinks while the children let off some steam in National Trust’s largest outdoor playground.
Remember your reusable cup
Every time you present a reusable cup when you order a hot drink at one of our cafes, tea rooms or kiosks*, we'll give you 25p off as a thank you for helping the environment by reducing the number of disposable cups used. This promotion replaces the hot drinks loyalty card scheme, which closed in February 2021.
*Discount not guaranteed at food outlets operated by third parties.
