Sitting at the entrance to Stourhead, this secluded cottage has a world-famous garden on the doorstep.
Built from local stone, 89 Church Lawn stands proudly at the entrance to the garden of Stourhead. It has views over to the village church and a private garden, and inside you’ll find original features such as the floral embellished fireplace and flagstone floors among its elegant interiors.
Book a stay at 89 Church Lawn, and your party can enjoy free entry to Stourhead House – one of the first grand Palladian-style villas to be built in England – and a walk around the world-famous garden.
The medieval city of Salisbury is under an hour away, while Stonehenge, one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments is just a short drive too.

Heating: Central heating included. The open fire in the dining room is not in use.
Parking: There is no parking outside the cottage. Visitors will be able to unload from the road (50 metres away). Parking is available in the Spread Eagle Car Park (approx. 200 metres away).
Gardens: The sloping gardens to the rear are enclosed and have several steps.
Telephone: There is no telephone at this cottage.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Please note: There is no stairgate at this cottage.
Offers: Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage.
Cottage guests benefit from free entry to Stourhead during opening hours. Access to the wider estate of parklands and woodlands are available out of hours but the gardens and house area will be locked at property closing. Guests also benefit from a 10% discount in the shop by showing your welcome card.
