About 89 Church Lawn

Sitting at the entrance to Stourhead, this secluded cottage has a world-famous garden on the doorstep.

Built from local stone, 89 Church Lawn stands proudly at the entrance to the garden of Stourhead. With views over to the village church, and a concealed garden, the cottage is pleasantly secluded, despite its proximity to the famous stately home. Inside, you’ll find original features such as the floral embellished fireplace and wooden floors among its elegant interiors..

Book a stay at 89 Church Lawn, and you and your party can enjoy free entry to Stourhead house. What’s more, you’re welcome to roam the world-famous garden whenever you like. When all the other visitors have left, you’ll have it all to yourself.

The medieval city of Salisbury is under an hour away, while Stonehenge, one of the world’s most famous prehistoric monuments is just a short drive too.

About the Acorn rating

We have applied a 1-5 acorn rating to each cottage to be used only as a guide that covers location, style of interior and facilities you may be looking for. The range runs from 1 Acorn at a more basic level such as Bird How which due to its stunning yet remote location doesn’t have a caretaker through to 5 Acorns at the highest level – such as Shute Barton.

Cottage pricing is not judged on the Acorn rating alone and as all our cottages are of an individual nature we recommend that all factors are considered when making your choice.
