Join us behind the scenes at Polesden Lacey

When people think of the National Trust, cream tea is often one of the first things to spring to mind. But there’s so much more to experience. This year we’re sharing the secrets that keep a country estate great, taking you beyond the scone. Join our staff and volunteers, who work so tirelessly to keep Polesden Lacey special, for a series of intimate talks, tours and activities.

Biomass Energy Centre Tour

In early 2017 Polesden Lacey switched from oil heating to biomass boilers. As part of the National Trust’s Reneweable Energy Investment project we have removed all our oil heating from our in-hand buildings and now run off wood chip. In this exclusive tour you'll see our new boilers that supply us with heating and hot water. Tue 18 Jun 2019 & Mon 12 Aug, 10.30-11.15 am
