History in the making
Be a part of history and experience what remains of Clumber House. Our café is housed in what used to be the Duke of Newcastle’s study with stunning views over the lake. Or if you’re looking for a quiet corner with the kids, step into the muniment room. This once stored of all of Clumber’s important documents.
Take a minute with a piece of cake.
Whether you join us for a spot of breakfast, a piece of cake or something more substantial. Discover the seasonal delights Clumber Café has to offer.
We work with local suppliers in many of our dishes. We use a selection of products from:
Owen Taylor & Sons – This Alfreton based business is family run and supplies high quality meat which is locally sourced.
Jacksons bakery of Chesterfield has been producing high quality craft bakery goods for many wholesale bakery customers since 1944.
Welbeck Abbey Brewery – Supplies a selection of locally brewed ales.
Food and where it comes from is an incredibly important part of what we do, and that’s why we’re proud that our café was awarded the Soil Association’s Bronze Food for Life Served Here award. The award recognises our commitment to providing seasonal, ethically-produced and sustainable food. Find out more: https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/news/food-for-life-catering-mark

From Plot to Plate:
The stunning orchards in the Walled Kitchen Garden at Clumber Park provide more than just visual beauty - the fruits are used in our dishes in the Garden Tea House and the Café too.
There are many ingredients sourced from the Walled Kitchen Garden for our dishes in the Garden Tea House and the Cafe, and the fruits from the orchard are among the most important.
Our Head Chef works closely with our Head Gardener to get the best seasonal ingredients and access to ‘outlawed vegetables’ that you just won’t see in the supermarket, and to create our daily garden inspired salads, puddings and lunch specials.
