Walking trail

This 1.5 mile walk takes you through the park at Killerton and then into the hillside garden along the paved route. Suitable for little legs and pushchair wheels.

From the stable-block turn right and follow the path towards the house.


Once you are in front of the house go through the gate and the far end of the forecourt and go into the garden.


Once you've gone into the garden follow the path and then turn right past the restaurant and up the hill. The path then turns round to the left, follow it and go straight on.


Keep walking and follow the route as it turns to the right and up the hill towards a memorial cross.


As the path meanders to the right go over the rustic bridge. Keep walking straight on sticking to the gravel path.

Follow the path around to the right and walk back down the hill. When you reach an adjoining path, turn left back towards the restaurant and house. Walk back out of the garden into the park, the stable-block will be straight ahead.

By road

Off Exeter to Cullompton road (B3181); from M5 northbound, exit 30 via Pinhoe and Broadclyst; from M5 southbound, exit 28.

By bus

Stagecoach 1 (A or B), Exeter to Tiverton Parkway railway station, via Cullompton (passing close Exeter Central railway station), alight Killerton.

By bicycle
