Be king of the castle at Gibside

Discover an adventure castle inspired by Gibside's lost Strawberry Castle folly. Swoosh down the slide, fly high on the swings, zoom down the zip wire and scramble in the water and sand. For the really adventurous, there's also a low ropes challenge to test your balance and bravery as you make your way from one tree to another.

Let off steam at Wallington

Climb aboard the giant play train, inspired by the 'Great Wallington Railway' created by the Trevelyan family who used to live at Wallington. With its climbing wall, driver's cab, fireman's pole and slide, it's the ideal way for young explorers to let off steam. Don't miss the wooden play fort, adventure play area and new Little Acorns nature play space in the West Wood too.

Play out at Cragside

Swoop, climb and glide in Cragside's newly extended play area. Test your balancing skills on the log mountain, climb to dizzy heights on the witch's hat and slide down the tunnels. Look out for the Labyrinth, a maze of winding paths and tunnels cut out of a rhododendron forest - it's perfect for a game of hide and seek.
