Lyme's Christmas Stories

Start your Christmas celebrations at Lyme as a selection of rooms are transformed with decorations exploring the stories and memories of the Legh family through the ages of Lyme. Enjoy the sights of a Christmas Day feast in the Dining Room or experience the sights of a winter wedding in the Drawing Room. With choral performances and beautiful decorations on display, Lyme is sure to get you in the festive mood.

*Also open Tuesday 24 December.

Meet Father Christmas

Festive Afternoon Tea

Friday-Monday, 22 November - 24 December*

If you fancy a doing a little of your own celebrating, why not book in for Festive Afternoon Tea inthe Salting Room Tea Parlour?

After a welcome glass of prosecco or non-alcoholic wild elderflower bubbly, you’ll be treated to a starter of roasted root vegetable soup with sliced apples followed by a selection of sandwiches. These include roast Lyme estate venison, turkey with stuffing and redcurrant jelly, roasted sweet potato, and pork sausage with streaky bacon.

Next, enjoy a range of sweet treats, from a St. Clements scone with clotted cream and St. Clements curd, to gingerbread slices, Chocolate eclairs, a mulled wine and poached pear trifle and, of course, a traditional shortcrust mince pie.

£24.95 per person. £10.95 children's option available

Groups over 16-24 can be catered for in the top half of the Ale Cellar

Groups over 24 can be catered for Fri-Mon for the 11:30am sitting in the Ale Cellar or in the top half of the Ale Cellar in two groups.

 Get warmed up after a winter walk with locally sourced hot mulled apple juice and ciders. For anyone looking for the perfect Christmas gift, stocking fillers, cards and a full winter range of homeware is already available at both shops.
