Assistant Ranger Volunteer

If you're looking for an outdoor volunteering opportunity, this is the one for you. From helping us look after not only Chartwell but surrounding National Trust places in West Kent like Toys Hill, you'll be able to get stuck into practical work as well as chatting to our visitors to help them understand the importance of our work. Enjoy the great outdoors whilst learning new skills and meeting new people - if this sounds like something you would be interested in, we would love to hear from you!

Garden Tour Guides

Garden Tour Guides have an important role to play in delivering inspiring and enjoyable tours, helping groups and individuals learn more about the place they are visiting and providing a warm welcome to all visitors to Chartwell. You'll meet visitors from all over the world on these tours as you show them Churchill's beloved golden orfe ponds, Clementine's cherished rose garden and so much more.

If only these walls could talk. That’s why our volunteer room stewards make such a difference. They’re passionate about Sir Winston Churchill and his family, and love making people feel at home. Why not join them? We're looking for weekend volunteers in particular.

Do something great by volunteering as one of our minibus drivers. Minibus drivers are one of our most vital roles, enabling those with access requirements to visit Churchill's home. We want to make sure that all our visitors make a personal connection with Chartwell and the stories we have to tell. We are looking for volunteers to chat with our visitors to understand better what they enjoyed about their visit, and what we could do to improve.
