A taste of Tudor time
Join us on 15th & 16th December for a Tudor Christmas feast beside the roaring log fire in our tea-rooms, featuring authentic period recipes accompanied by mulled wine and mead.

Soup of seasonal vegetable served with artisan bread
Beef in a pastry bowl, Tudor cheese tart (GF option available), Chicken thigh & breast in a white wine, herb & cream sauce with caramelised peaches (quorn option available). Served with carrots, parsnips & leeks with garlic.
Vanilla cheesecake with spices served and sugared flowers & berries, red wine poached pears with cream OR or jumbles (delicious Tudor biscuits) & hot chocolate.

- The Tea Rooms are accessible by wheelchair. If you are also intending to explore the castle ruins, within the castle grounds there is wheelchair access to the Outer Bailey only.
- This is an evening event and subject to minimum numbers being achieved. Each evening coincides with the Winter Lights where the castle will be illuminated by contemporary lanterns, beacons and braziers as you explore the castle grounds. You are invited to absorb the festive atmosphere of the castle ruins before sitting down for a taste of Tudor time by the log fire in our Tea Rooms.
