Join us for our first Practical Lime Skills for Homeowners course.

Throughout the day conservation topics and skills are explained simply and for each subject there are practical demonstrations, then participants are encouraged to have a go themselves, with guidance at hand. The course covers the following:

Selecting and mixing appropriate lime mortars & plasters

The identification of inappropriate cement mortars & removal techniques

Practical lime pointing of stone and brickwork

Our approach is fun and we aim to create a relaxed environment where you will enjoy learning. We encourage you to bring photographs of projects and samples of mortars and plasters for discussion during in the breaks. Course numbers are limited to ensure individual attention by two course leaders. All tools, materials and personal protective equipment are provided but please bring protective outdoor clothing and footwear. Fee: The course is £140.00 inc. VAT.
