Summer trail around the garden, along with special themed Thursdays (see list below) and other activities.

There is a trail in the garden, and a separate I-spy trail in the house, both included in normal admission prices and during normal opening hours. Most days there is also an activity cart in the Squires Room.

On the themed Thursdays, there are also craft activities available for kids at £2/child.

Some outside activities may be subject to weather conditions on the day.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Please note...

Family tickets admit up to 2 adults, and up to 3 children. Children are ages 5-17 inclusive, those under 5 are free.

Dogs are welcome on the surrounding estate and can use the Mote Cafe terrace, however are not permitted in the gardens from March - October.

Group rates available for 15 or more visitors.
