Step behind the 'no entry' signs and take a guided walk into the heart of the normally off limits AWRE area.

Join our tour guide on a 1.5hour guided walk into the heart of the AWRE area, including the iconic 'Pagodas'. Learn about the history of these fascinating buildings. Access to the interior of the buildings is no longer possible but we will go as close as safely possible to the exteriors. Normal admission ticket applies. Tickets for this tour are bookable on the day but you will need to book your ferry and entry ticket in advance. Limited numbers

What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Access to Orford Ness is only via our ferry Octavia. Admission to Orford Ness is free to NT Members but you will need to still pay the ferry fare. Spaces are limited due to boat capacity and tickets are currently in high demand.. Tickets are released on a weekly rolling basis on a Thursday to maintain roughly 2 weeks advance booking. Tickets are in very high demand and sell out quickly.

- Meeting point
- Meet at Lab 1 at 1pm. Cross to Orford Ness by the 12pm ferry at the latest to allow time to walk to Lab 1. Tickets are bookable on the day on a first come, first served basis.
- What to bring and wear
- Orford Ness is an exposed coastal location, please dress for the weather!
- Access to Orford Ness is via ferry, boarding of which will require negotiating steps, the number of which will depend on the tide. The steps can be slippery.
