Fell Foot Night Run
Come and join us for the Fell Foot Night Run on 22 October. The Night Run is open to runners and non-runners of all abilities, with 3km and 6km routes. Our cafe is open late and food will be available, so come and make an evening of it.
What’s going on?
- Unique night running experience within stunning parkland, with a family friendly 3km route and a more challenging 6km route.
- Well marked reflective course marking signage and event marshals.
- Event timing and results service.
The café will be open throughout the afternoon and into the evening for a range of hot and cold drinks, traybakes and food available to refuel post event.
Explorer – approx. 3km
The first part of the route takes you along the shores of Windermere, then loops around the park before heading out to the southern meadow. This route is perfect for walkers and young families. If you’re bringing along your little ones, then this is a great opportunity to tick off some of their 50 things to do before you’re 11¾, such as no. 27 - go star gazing and no. 40 - go on a nature walk at night.
Adventurer – approx. 6km
Our Adventure course follows the same route as the Explorer. As you complete the loop of the meadow, a flat track returns you to the start line. Pass through this and up parkrunners favourite hill past the discovery cottage to rejoin the route. From here it's one more lap to complete the course as you head under the finish arch for the second time.
Event start times
Registration for run opens: 4.30pm
Event starts: 6pm
What do I need to bring?
This is a Night Run so first and foremost bring a TORCH and check it has fully working batteries. The course route at Fell Foot is made up of excellent trails, some tarmac, but a lot of grass. Most trainers will be fine, however proper trail running and/or walking shoes are strongly recommended.
