Autumn food in the Lake District

Relax at Sticklebarn

Spend some time together this autumn at Sticklebarn, our pub in Langdale. This isn’t a traditional pub experience, it’s a National Trust pub and we do things a little differently; with fire pits, blankets, board games and hearty food.

The café in the courtyard

Our new café at Claife Viewing Station is a hidden gem on the west shore of Lake Windermere. The fire is always roaring in the autumn, and we've tasty, seasonal soup on the go.

Acorn Bank tea room

The choice is endless in this cosy tea room and courtyard. Warm up with a bacon bap and a coffee, or try a home-cooked roast dinner, followed by a fruit crumble with fruit from our very own orchards.

Lunch at Sizergh

Our café at Sizergh is lovely and contemporary, and gives you a taste of the family history. This season we've soups, cream teas, hearty stews and hot cumberland sausage. Pair with a walk round the garden for a perfect autumn day out.
