Valentines days out in Surrey

From spending time together in the great outdoors to finding an impressive backdrop to wow your loved one, you'll find everything you need for an extra special Valentine's Day at the places we look after. Princess Charlotte and Prince Leopold famously lived at Claremont Landscape Garden, whilst the Queen Mother honeymooned at Polesden Lacey. Both have special trees where you can leave a message to your loved one. Here are our top tips for a memorable day together.

Follow a specially decorated trail around the historic 49-acre estate to discover the heartwarming story of Princess Charlotte's romance with her beloved Prince Leopold. Hang a memento for your loved one at the Kissing Tree, and finish your visit with a tasty shortbread Charlotte heart in the café.

Show your favourite person how much you love them and tie a special message to our love tree in time for Valentines Day. Simply choose your favourite colour ribbon from visitor reception and head down to the south lawn, where the love tree stands looking out across the view. Ribbons will be available every day from 1 February.
