Half Term fun at Rufford Old Hall

A family of three crouch down to look at the woodland

Grab your wellies and get out this winter exploring the gardens and woodland at Rufford Old Hall.

Come rain or shine you can tick off some of the 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ activities.

Woodwork

No.12 - Make a trail with sticks

Winter is a really good time to complete this challenge as there are lots of sticks on the ground. Can you make your family follow a trail through the woods or the paddock when you’ve finished?

No.6 - Run around in the rain

All you need for this challenge is a rainy day and before you know it you’ll be splashing about like a fish.

Mini Beasts

No.31 - Hunt for bugs.

With all the miniature wildlife that call Rufford home there's a great chance that you'll find some bugs in our woodlands. Make sure to look under rocks, in muddy areas and under mossy logs. Pick up a kit from Reception.
