Protecting the heart of Little Moreton Hall – rewire appeal

Little Moreton Hall is one of Cheshire's most iconic buildings, but it needs our help. Donate now to help us rewire the hall and protect this five hundred year old structure.

The Rewire Project

In winter 2018-19, we carried out a major project to bring the historic Tudor house safely into the 21st Century.

How the appeal adds up

  • Electricity was first installed in Little Moreton Hall in 1952 and the building has not been fully rewired since
  • We need to replace 9,000 metres of cabling.
  • We need to carefully thread wires through 65 different rooms, using tiny gaps in the panelling

Why give to the National Trust

As a charity, we rely on the generosity of supporters to look after the historic buildings in our care. Not only do our supporters help to conserve beautiful homes and stunning gardens. They also ensure that future generations have places where they can be inspired by stories of the past, enjoy peace and time to reflect, and make memories to treasure. Your donation will go towards this project and other vital conservation work on our buildings at this special place. With your support, we can continue to protect the irreplaceable. For everyone, for ever.
