Summer evenings at Blickling Estate
Why not make the most of the long summer days and stay with us until 7pm? The perfect place to relax, grab a deckchair and find a quiet spot to read your book, enjoy your picnic or how about a game of croquet with friends?
Every Thursday | 22 June - 20 July
Fill your picnic basket with summery treats to keep everyone going, or if you prefer, pop in to The Stables cafe and pick up a sandwich, soup, savoury pastry or cake to enjoy outside.
Get your friends together
Whether you're meeting after work, or having a playdate after school, enjoy having the garden to yourself. The croquet will be ready and waiting for you on the lawn, or head over to the acre where you'll find garden games (and a sheltered spot if you need it).
Enjoy the peace and tranquility in the garden without the crowds. Explore parts you've never been to before or join our garden guides for a tour of the best bits. They will be on hand every Thursday, just ask at Visitor Reception on arrival.
The garden comes into its own at this time of year, with an abundance of colour throughout, lasting until the end of the summer. The double borders are a particular highlight or discover the secret garden and its beautiful sundial.
There are plenty of local tasty treats and unique gifts in one of the biggest National Trust shops, whether you're treating yourself or buying a gift for someone.
Pick up some tasty jams and chutneys, treat yourself to something from the famous National Trust biscuit range or browse through our range of confectionery which has something for all tastes.
Our homeware ranges this season are inspired by the properties and places the National Trust cares for and are exclusive to the National Trust. Inspiration has come from some of our best loved glasshouses and the flowers and foliage still flourishing within as well as remote estuaries and coastline.
You could simply go to your favourite spot and enjoy your book in the peaceful surroundings. There are deckchairs dotted around the garden, so grab one under the shade of a tree - a very relaxing way to wind down after a busy day.
