The Stables Café

You'll find a variety of hot and cold food items at The Stables Café, from homemade soups and one-pots to sandwiches, ice creams and cake – and we serve local, seasonal produce wherever possible. With ample seating both inside and out, it's the perfect spot for a mid-morning snack, lunch or an afternoon cream tea.

We love seeing dogs take a well-earned rest in The Farmyard after their walk. However, they aren't allowed on the front drive or in the restaurant area, so if you're planning on buying food at The Stables Café, please ensure that you have someone with you who can stay with your dog.

You can always pop up to Muddy Boots instead, where dogs are very welcome.

Muddy Boots

Grab a coffee before you start your walk, or reward yourself with something tasty at the end of your adventures. From bacon rolls and croissants to cream teas and cakes, Muddy Boots offers a selection of light bites and tasty treats to enjoy both inside and out.

The Bucks Arms

You'll find this 17th-century pub and former coaching inn on the walk down from the main car park to the house. It's the perfect place to start or end your visit – or why not plan a romantic break and stay in one of its four bedrooms?

Allergen information

Most of the food and drink served is prepared on site in our kitchen, using a wide range of ingredients. As a result, we can’t guarantee that any of our food and drink products are completely allergen free.

If you have an allergy or intolerance and would like ingredient information about the food and drink served, please ask the staff, who will be happy to help.

Always check when you visit
