Tinsel10 Christmas trail run

Join us for our festive version of our monthly Trust10 trail run at Blickling Estate. Feeling extra festive? Why not dress up in fancy dress and enter the fancy dress competition?

Whether you want to push yourself or just have a gentle run with some new friends, our free monthly 10k trail runs are a great way to blow away the cobwebs, get some exercise and take in spectacular scenery.

This winter join us for a festive run, with a fancy dress competition at 9.15am and a briefing at 9.25am, and start shortly after. No pre-booking required.

Tinsel10 is all about enjoying the experience of running at the beautiful places in our care, so if monitoring your running time is important to you, please remember to bring your own timing device.

Fancy dress is optional, a fancy dress competition will be held at 9.15am where there will be a prize for the runner wearing the best costume. Please make sure your costume is safe to run in and trail shoes should still be worn.

The basics

Suitability

Over 14s only. 14-16 year olds must be with an adult.

Meeting point

Parking is in the main car park. Meet for the briefing is at the white park gates. Parking is £5 (coins) for non-members, members can park for free by scanning their cards.

What to bring and wear

Fancy dress is optional. Please make sure your costume is safe to run in and that your footwear is suitable for possibly very muddy trails.

Accessibility

The 10k run is a multi-mixture terrain, including multi-use trail, uneven ground and loose gravel. Tinsel10 at Blickling is two loops of our multi use trail – complete them all and you’ve done a 10k! Or complete the first 3k loop and call it a day.

Other

If you're taking part in Tinsel10 runs at Blickling with a dog, please ensure you have your dog on a fixed 1.8m (or less) lead. Runners with dogs are advised to stay to the sides or back of the participant field. This is a non-marshalled event, and there are no facilities along the route so please take a water bottle with you to stay hydrated. The route is waymarked with arrows, and a map can be seen when registering. Please remember to sign back in once you have completed the run. The event may be cancelled in adverse weather conditions. Tinsel10 relies on volunteers, if you would like to volunteer or volunteer your club for a ‘takeover’, we'd love to hear from you! Speak to someone on the day or get in touch via details below.
