Bureside is a cosy semi-detached cottage with lots of character set  in the tiny Norfolk hamlet of Itteringham Common on the Blickling estate. The two-bedroom cottage feels very homely inside with elegant décor and a log-burner in the lounge. The garden has a grassed lawn leading down to a private stretch of the meandering River Bure.

Take advantage of your location on the estate and enjoy a stroll through the ancient Great Wood. Discover the grand Jacobean house at the heart of the estate, before stopping in at the Muddy Boots café for a light lunch. 

Further afield, visit Norwich, the most complete medieval city in the UK. As well as a thriving music and arts scene, the city plays host to lots of shops, bars, cafés and waterside restaurants.

Ground floor layout

Kitchen/dining room, two steps up to sitting room with wood burning stove, bathroom.

First floor layout

Two bedrooms (1 double with 5' bed and 1 twin).

Heating: Provided by an air source heat pump system in conjunction with radiators. This system has been installed as part of our renewable energy programme. More information will be in your booking confirmation and the Welcome Folder on arrival. 

Parking: There is parking available for two cars.

Garden: The garden is hedged for privacy and the river Bure runs along the bottom of the rear garden which is accessed through a gate from the main garden. However, the river is not fenced so small children will need to be supervised.

*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.

Please note: The doorway between the kitchen and sitting room is fairly low and the staircase is quite narrow and steep. 

Storage: Cycle storage provided.

Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 12pm at this cottage.
