Your guide to fishing at Blickling Estate
The fishing season at Blickling Estate runs from June through to March each year, offering people of all ages and abilities the opportunity to fish in our well-stocked lake. We've put together a few tips to help you plan your time with us and ensure you have an enjoyable experience.
The lake is open from 7am until sunset daily from 16 June 2017 until 18 March 2018.
You are welcome to fish from the dam or one of the fishing platforms; on the east bank of the lake and one on the west bank, close to the dam end.
Night fishing is prohibited – please leave the lake by dusk.
We ask that boilies and live bait are not used, and that you do not pre-bait or ground bait the lake.
Please don’t keep fish in keep nets or sacks and ensure that all fish are landed using a landing net and that unhooking mats are used. Please use only barbless hooks and refrain from using bolt rigs.
You can use up to two rods, but please don’t leave them unattended. You’ll also need a valid Environment Agency rod license..
Please respect other park users by keeping the paths clear and taking any litter or unused bait home with you.
Tickets are available from the bailiff:
Adults: £7 (max. two rods) | Season ticket: £90
Concessions: £5 (max. two rods) | Season ticket: £55
Car parking is free for National Trust members, however there is a £5 charge to park in any car park on the Blickling Estate for non-members. Please note the machines only take coins.
