Stay with us a while

Cider Cottage is set within the stunning Cider House gardens on the Buckland Abbey estate. Refurbished in 2012, this exclusive holiday let sleeps four people and one dog, and has its own private garden for guests to enjoy.

A warm welcome

When you arrive at the cottage, you will be greeted with a traditional, home made cream tea, served in the bright and airy kitchen diner. Relax in the private, enclosed garden and admire views across the estate, or have a cosy evening in front of the woodburner in the living room. You're welcome to wander around the gardens and estate at any time, even when we're closed to the public - the sunsets and night skies are out of this world.

Things to do

There's plenty to see and do on the estate, from woodland walks to a zip wire for younger visitors (and the young at heart) to enjoy.

You'll receive a free admission pass for the Abbey when you arrive which can be used during normal opening hours, so you can discover the legend of Drake's Drum and see our newly authenticated Rembrandt self portrait.

Treat yourself to a lovely lunch in the restaurant, and find special souvenirs in the shop, where you will receive 10% discount throughout your stay.
