Cadbury Egg Hunt at Buckland
Hop along to Buckland this Easter and you can join in with an egg hunt, create fantastic crafts and discover what Tudor life was like in the Abbey.
Cadbury Egg Hunt
Once again the Cadbury Bunny has hidden precious chocolate eggs across Britain. Now it’s up to you and your family to find them, so come along to Buckland between Saturday 1 and Monday 17 April to see if you can unscramble the clues and earn your Cadbury chocolate reward.
The trail is about a mile long (short cut available for little legs) and is dog and pushchair friendly. Normal admission charges apply, £2 per trail.
Even more family fun throughout the Easter break
It’s not just about chocolates – there’s plenty more to keep you busy going on throughout the holidays. Highlights include Claire Packer's popular family felting workshops on 5 and 12 April, and you can have a go at making beautiful natural creations with Naturemake on 15, 16 and 17 April. There's no need to book, and normal admission charges apply, plus an additional charge for some activities (£3+).
For keen adventurers, there’s the chance to join in with the medieval beast trail out on the estate (£1 per trail), tick off some of the 50 things to do before you’re 11 3/4, or discover the bugs and critters that the conservation team battle with in the house.
Dig out your bells and join the Dartmoor Border Morris
Celebrate the return of spring by grabbing your handkerchiefs, sticks and bells and joining in with a bit of Morris dancing with local troupe Dartmoor Border Morris. The troupe is performing here at Buckland at 1.00pm and 2.30pm on Sunday 9 April - you're more than welcome to have a go too. Normal admission charges apply.
