Volunteering at Coleridge Cottage

'I started volunteering to support the National Trust because I enjoy helping others to get the best experience of visiting somewhere special.' - Sally, volunteer since 2011

Without volunteers, we would not be able to open our doors, which is why we are so lucky to have a fantastic group of people at Coleridge Cottage who spend their free time looking after this special place.

How do I find out more?

Come to one of our Volunteering Open Days in February 2018 to meet volunteers and staff, and find out a bit more about volunteering at Coleridge Cottage. Find out more on one of the pages below.

If you would interested in volunteering, we would love to hear from you. Call the cottage and talk to Tina or Kate to find out more: 01278 732662 or via email.

What can I do?

Volunteers help look after the cottage in a number of ways: bringing the story of Coleridge to life by talking to visitors, serving tea and delicious cake in our busy tearoom, selling books and gifts in our shop, telling tales on special tours, or even a bit of everything.

In March 2018, we will be open seven days a week rather than five during the main season. More than ever we are looking for passionate and friendly people to help look after Coleridge Cottage and share its story with our visitors.
