Volunteering at Coleridge Cottage

Coleridge Cottage volunteering recruitment 2016

'I started volunteering to support the National Trust because I enjoy helping others to get the best experience of visiting somewhere special.' - Sally, volunteer since 2011

Without volunteers, we would not be able to open our doors, which is why we are so lucky to have a fantastic group of people at Coleridge Cottage who spend their free time looking after this special place.

What can I do?

Volunteers at the cottage help look after the cottage in a number of ways: bringing the story of Coleridge to life by talking to visitors, serving tea and delicious cake in our busy tearoom, selling books and gifts in our shop, and tending to the beautiful wildflower garden.

In March 2018, we will be open seven days a week rather than five during the main season. More than ever we are looking for passionate and friendly people to help look after Coleridge Cottage and share its story with our visitors.

How do I find out more?

If you are interested we would love to hear from you. Call the cottage and talk to Tina or Kate to find out more: 01278 732662 or via email.

Room Guide Volunteer at Coleridge Cottage

Our Room Guides are known for their warm welcomes and tantalizing tales that enchant our visitors. No need to be a Coleridge expert - learning as you go is part of the fun!

Tearoom Volunteer at Coleridge Cottage

It wouldn't be a National Trust visit without some mouth-watering treats served by a friendly volunteer. Our little tearoom may be small, but if you enjoy being kept busy, this is definitely the role for you!
