A fine cottage built by Lord Armstrong, next to the Formal Garden at Cragside, for his agent. Relax and enjoy splendid views across the Italian Terrace and historic parkland to the Coquet Valley and Simonside Hills.
 

What is the Bunkhouse?

Two woodland workers' cottages have been converted to provide simple self-catering accommodation in a beautiful location overlooking Tumbleton Lake. During your stay, you will have free access to Cragside’s extensive woodland and gardens; a small charge is made to visit the house.
 
The building has central heating and sleeps up to 16 people in bunk beds. The accommodation consists of one room sleeping six people, one room sleeping four people and three rooms each sleeping two people. Please bring bed linen, pillows and tea towels. There's a fully equipped kitchen, including cooker, microwave, fridge, freezer and washer dryer and lounge area. There is a separate shower and toilet block in the old outhouse. The rental includes all gas and electricity. Please note smoking and dogs are not permitted. The Bunkhouse is situated next to the Visitor Centre and is set against a steep wooded hillside.
