Cushion cover embroidery

Using the collection and surroundings at Nostell as inspiration, with the artist Louise Taylor you will explore the use of hand embroidery and appliqué to create a unique cushion cover for your home.

  • Booking essential

You'll start with a chance to take inspiration from Nostell's grounds and collections, sketching ideas as you go. Louise will then guide you through various techniques to build layers of colour and pattern to your cushion cover, from needle felting to free hand embroidery and applique. You'll design and make your own textile masterpiece to take home by the end of the session. To see some of Louise's work, head to her facebook page: www.facebook.com/taylormaidUK.
