What is Gift Aid?
Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.
Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:
- Gift Aid Admission
- Standard Admission
If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.
Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.
An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

Entry for National Trust members: Free. Last entry to the house 30 minutes before house closes.
During the following dates Mon 6, Thu 9, Fri 10 and Mon 13 – Fri 17 Jan, prices for entry are as follows: adult standard £9.00 (Gift Aid, £9.90), child standard £5.00 (Gift Aid, £5.50), and family standard £23.00 (Gift Aid £25.30). On Tue 7 and Wed 8 Jan 2020 Standen is closed. The house is closed weekdays in January, and the shop is closed until Mon 27 Jan. A pop-up shop will be located in the house during weekends in January while the shop is closed, please note there will be no facilities to process refunds and returns, and sell or redeem Gift Cards.
- Unfortunately dogs are not welcome at this event.
- The exhibition is located in the ground floor of the house. Access for wheelchairs is available.
- During weekdays in January the house is closed, but the exhibition is open. Last entry to the exhibition is half an hour before closing.
