Summer of Sport

FREE sports activities and taster sessions for all ages. There's nothing like gathering friends and family for some outdoor games to really make the most of summer.

Dip into a different sport each week with various local clubs. Durham Hockey Club will be here every week, Houghton Rugby Club on 25 July, then Newcastle Falcons on 8 and 15 August. If you fancy trying handball, Newcastle Vikings will be offering coaching tips on 29 August.

Regular activities include archery, badminton, orienteering, rounders, tennis and volleyball. We'll be on hand to help you try something new and improve your skills.

The basics

Suitability
Suitable for children of all ages. Must be accompanied by an adult.
Dogs on leads are welcome.
Meeting point
Meet in the Foghorn Field.
What to bring and wear
Wear comfy clothes and suitable shoes e.g. trainers.
