Ranger Ramble

Join the Chirk Castle ranger team for an informal walk in the castle's historic parkland.

See some of the lesser known highlights of the estate, and find out about the history of the parkland and how we manage it for conservation. Walk duration approx 90mins.

The ramble is free and there's no need to book, just meet at Home Farm by the ticket office.

Length and difficulty of the walk will depend on the capabilities of the group - please ring the castle beforehand if you have any questions or requirements.

Walks will involve traversing uneven paths with some mild to moderate gradients. Please contact us if you have any queries.

Please note that the castle interior is closed in January and February for conservation work. Off-peak admission applies to visit the castle courtyard, Adam Tower, Dungeon and gardens.
