Meet Father Christmas at Newark Park

Book your visit to Santa's cosy grotto at Newark

  • Booking essential
  • Admission applies

Father Christmas is stopping at Newark Park before he heads off for his busiest night of the year. For those that have been nice, there'll be a little gift and a chat with the big man of Christmas himself in his cosy grotto in the Drawing Room on the ground floor of the house.

Father Christmas will see 8 children per slot. Your visit will be within the 30-minute time slot you book so you may have a short wait when you arrive. In order to help keep Father Christmas fit and healthy for Christmas Eve, please note that we will be practising social distancing in his grotto.

If your child has any special needs that you think we ought to know about, or which might affect your visit to Father Christmas, please get in touch with us and we'll be happy to discuss how we can best facilitate your visit.

Booking is essential.

What is Gift Aid?

Most of our places run the Gift Aid on Entry scheme at their admission points.

Under this scheme, if you're not a member you have the choice of two entry tickets:

  • Gift Aid Admission
  • Standard Admission

If the place runs Gift Aid on Entry, we'll offer you a clear choice between the Gift Aid Admission prices and the Standard Admission prices at the admission point. It's entirely up to you which ticket you choose.

Gift Aid Admission includes a 10 per cent or more voluntary donation. Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

An extra £1 paid under the scheme can be worth over £3 to the National Trust as shown below:

  Gift Aid Standard
Amount paid by visitor £11.00 £10.00
Tax refund from Government* £2.75 £0.00
Total received by the National Trust £13.75 £10.00

*Gift Aid Admissions let us reclaim tax on the whole amount paid - an extra 25 per cent - potentially a very significant boost to our places' funds.

Please note...

Free entry for National Trust members.
We are operating a pay and display in our car park where car park charges will apply for non-members (cash only).
