Get up with the larks and listen out for Gibside's glorious birdsong.
- Booking essential
In the tranquil setting of Gibside, hear the chorus of birdsong greeting the dawn before we open the gates. Long-term restoration work to the woodlands at Gibside has created a mature habitat for birds. Spot nuthatches, tits, great spotted woodpeckers and occasionally sparrow hawks. Young visitors can tick off number 44 of their 50 things to do before you're 11 ¾ by taking part in this bird watching walk. After your walk, enjoy a hot breakfast sandwich in the café.
